“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
Children are growing up in a world filled with content.
Every day they encounter videos, games, apps, music, stories, social media clips, and countless digital messages competing for their attention.
The question is not whether children are consuming content.
The question is:
What content are they consuming?
Many parents today are searching for resources that are not only entertaining but also encouraging, educational, and rooted in biblical values.
That creates an incredible opportunity for Christian creators.
Whether you are a writer, artist, musician, teacher, animator, video creator, or storyteller, God may use your gifts to help shape the next generation.
Children learn through stories.
They learn through songs.
They learn through examples.
They learn through repetition.
And they often remember lessons that are presented in creative and engaging ways.
Throughout Scripture we see the importance of teaching children about God.
Parents were instructed to talk about God’s commands throughout daily life.
Future generations were taught through stories of God’s faithfulness.
Truth was intentionally passed from one generation to the next.
That responsibility has not changed.
The methods may look different today, but the mission remains the same.
A children’s video can teach kindness.
A story can teach forgiveness.
A song can teach Scripture.
An animated lesson can explain biblical truths.
A family-friendly podcast can spark meaningful conversations.
Creative content has the power to plant seeds that may grow for years to come.
As Christian creators, we should not underestimate the impact of what we produce.
Children are not merely a future mission field.
They are a mission field today.
The content we create can help parents reinforce biblical values and provide positive alternatives in a world filled with competing messages.
That does not mean every piece of content must feel like a sermon.
Children connect with authenticity, creativity, and joy.
The goal is not simply to teach information.
The goal is to point young hearts toward Christ.
If God has given you creative gifts, consider how those gifts might encourage the next generation.
A story.
A song.
A video.
An illustration.
A lesson.
A simple act of creativity could become a tool God uses to impact a child’s life for years to come.
Never underestimate the power of planting seeds of faith.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the children You have entrusted to families, churches, and communities. Help us use our gifts wisely to create content that encourages, teaches, and points young hearts toward You. Give us creativity, wisdom, and faithfulness as we seek to impact the next generation for Your Kingdom.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
